My Guide To The Mornington Peninsula

My Guide To The Mornington Peninsula

I’ve been heading down to the Mornington Peninsula for the last 15 years, but it’s only been since my first child was born (5 years ago) that I’ve had a new appreciation for this beautiful spot besides the beaches. Here are my favourite things to do when we visit.

Arthur’s Seat Eagle

Board a state-of-the-art gondola at the Arthurs Seat Eagle and fly over the state forest to the highest point of the beautiful Mornington Peninsula.

Enchanted Adventure Garden

Immerse yourself in a wonderland of mazes, artistic fun garden designs, tube slides and a canopy walk through the Trees! You should allow 2-3 hours to explore the 10 different awesome activities at The Enchanted Adventure Garden.

Boneo Maze & Mini Golf

This place really has it all and is fantastic for the kids. With 27 acres of native flora & fauna to discover, Adventure zone, self guided walks, a café, mini golf and the fun mega games arena your kids wont want to leave.

Mornington Railway

Honestly, this was a high light for my boys and I. It was literally like stepping back in time when we arrived at Moorooduc station. Check out their upcoming kids events.

  • Teddies Day out 8th July Big Teddy bear attends for a hand shake and a cuddle. Kids are encouraged to bring their favorite teddy/toy for a train ride.
  • Halloween (Dress Up Spooky)
  • Santa in December first three Sundays in December 2nd, 9th, 16th. (Santa attends)

They also offer kids parties and cater for Kinder/School trips.

Sunnyridge Strawberry Farm

I don’t think this place needs to be explained. It’s just an explosion of strawberries everywhere you look, strawberry milkshakes, strawberry scones, strawberry kebabs, strawberry cookies. My boys love coming here to pick fresh strawberries.

Dinosaur Land

I’ve previously done a post on Dinosaur land so if you want more detail check that out. This is for all the Dino lovers out there big or small. It’s a nice small place with plenty of shade and plenty of adventures.

Rosebud Carnival

I choose this carnival for my kids cause I still have under 6’s and they cater for the little kids. If you have bigger kids or even for yourself I would suggest Rye carnival.

Dromana 3 Dive-in

This is one of the things my kids LOVE doing, especially over the summer holiday when it’s a warm night. Not only do the team at Dromana 3 Dive-in have three screens, they also have their ‘deckchair cinema’ which is outdoors on either deckchairs or for a small fee you can hire a beanbag.

The Big Goose

The Big Goose have combined all your kids favourite things in the one place, animals and play areas! They offer a range of activities including pony rides, jumping pillow, tyre maze, petting barn, tractor rides, mini golf, walk-about farm yard, wildlife park, playground and the newly opened splash park.
